Is a constitution democratic if all stakeholders, which includes indigenous and minority groups, are ignored during the new draft?
Industrial civilization is killing the habitable planet. Switching energy sources, which many believe to be impossible, is not going to change the rate of ecocide, biocide or ethnocide.
How much death, how much biodiversity loss, how much pollution, how many more sacrifice zones, much stored radioactive potential, are our leaders willing to risk just to avoid 3C warming?
There is another way, other than perpetuating a corrosive, unsustainable, heirarchical material culture; degrowth, primitivism, local subsistence, mutual aid, etc.
All civilizations collapse; this one will be horrifying if we don’t design how we are going to pull out the kingpin.
